Hello Dear Friends and Mothers:

On March 5, 2001 my 18-month-old son lost his left eye to Retinoblastoma. Cameron had his eye removed at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. It has been harder on my husband and I than it was for Cameron.  He did not miss a beat.  He is as happy as ever and has more than compensated for the lost vision.

We have his appointment soon to get his prosthetic eye.  We are very excited.  We were very lucky and were put into contact with some families in the area who have gone through the same thing.  It helped so much to meet with them and see how well their children are doing. If I could give anyone any advise, I would have to say to get in touch with people who have gone through the same thing.  It is hard at first, but it helps so much.

We will now have to have MRI's and exams for the next few years.  We are just looking forward to a clean bill of health. Cameron has done great through this whole thing.  I would love to talk to anyone who has gone through this.  We are trying to get as much information and advise that we can get.

Thank you, from a mother of a darling little boy who is doing awesome.

Paige
