Hello,

My name is Amanda.  I'm 21 years old, and I've worn a prosthetic eye since I was 2.  For a very long time, I thought I was the only person out there with this problem. I was tormented all through out high school.

It made me a very insecure person.  But now I've realized that there are people out there that care about what's on the inside and don't mind so much about what you look like on the outside.  My boyfriend tells me I'm beautiful everyday!

Lately I've been thinking about the new technology with eye-movement.  The last time I went to my ocularist, I was 14, and it was a very new process still in the making.  If anyone has any info about it, please e-mail me and let me know?

I just want to tell everyone out there that you need to hold your head up high, and don't let other people bring you down.  Life is too precious to waste it feeling bad all the time about something you can't change and don't have much control over!

So smile, and remember that there's other people out there that understand! Thank you.
